KW: Hike & Happy Hour
We at ELC KW hope you're all enjoying summer. At our next event we want to take advantage of the great weather and get outside for a quick walk in beautiful Victoria Park.
We'll do a few loops of the park, getting to know each other and raising the engineering leadership topics that are top of mind right now. Then we'll stop in at Boathouse for a drink and talk through the ones that came up most, as a group.
This is an opportunity to network with engineering leaders in Kitchener-Waterloo. ELC exists so we have somewhere to talk about the hard parts of the job with people who've been in the same position: the calls you make without enough information, the people situations that don't have a clean answer.
We're meeting at 4:30 PM in the Victoria Park parking lot (N2G 1K9), heading over to Boathouse around 5:30, and wrapping up by 6:30. Wear shoes you can walk in; the route is flat and easy. If the walk isn't your thing, come find us at Boathouse instead. Drinks and food are pay-your-own-way.
If you've been meaning to get out to one of these and haven't yet, a walk in the park is an easy place to start.
