Why Don’t Better Engineering Practices Spread?

Most engineering leaders already know what good looks like: fast feedback, strong ownership, automated deployments, useful observability, etc. The real challenge is getting those practices adopted across an organization and making them stick.

Some leaders use communities of practice, internal champions, coaching, standards, or structured improvement programs. Others focus on incentives, visibility, and team-led experimentation. In every case, the hard part is turning isolated success into organizational capability.

This session is about uncovering how your peer engineering leaders are doing that work.

How is everyone introducing better practices without creating resistance? Who owns those efforts? What has gained traction? What stalled? How do people know the organization is actually improving?

Bring what is working and what is not. The goal is to compare approaches, challenge assumptions, and leave with practical ideas for leveling up engineering organizations.
