The AI Bill Is Due: Cost, Impact, and ROI in the Agentic Era

# Dinner

AI is now a real line item in every engineering budget, and everyone can see where it's heading. Agents are driving usage up, pricing is shifting toward consumption, and spend that's manageable today won't stay that way. At the same time, most engineering leaders can't yet answer the questions they're asking themselves: what am I actually getting from this spend, which tools and models are working, and how do I know beyond surface-level metrics? Boards and CFOs are starting to ask the same things.

Join us in San Francisco for an exclusive dinner to discuss how engineering leaders are getting ahead on both fronts: understanding AI's real impact on delivery and getting control of AI spend before it scales.

Key discussion points:

1. The coming cost curve. Most AI spend today is seat-based and predictable. Usage-based pricing and always-on agents will change that, and every leader knows the switch is coming. How are you preparing for the point where AI spend scales with work instead of headcount?

2. Are my developers actually adopting AI? Every developer has a license. That's not the same as adoption. Some hand real work to agents and review the output; others use AI as expensive autocomplete. How do you measure how autonomously your developers actually work with AI, and how do you move the middle of the pack?

3. What am I actually getting? Adoption numbers and usage stats don't answer it. How do you see which teams and developers are getting real leverage, where AI is accelerating delivery, and where it's quietly creating rework?

4. Which tool, which model, for which work? Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Copilot perform differently by task and cost very differently. Defaulting everyone to the premium option is simple but expensive. How are leaders matching tools and models to the work?

5. The ROI story. When finance or the board asks whether the AI budget is working, what evidence holds up? Cost per shipped feature, hours returned, capacity created: what's provable and what's still hand-waving?

This invite-only event is designed to create an intimate space for you to meet with a small group of high-caliber engineering leaders to discuss challenges, exchange best practices, expand your professional network and more.

We hope to see you there!
